WINNIPEG, Manitoba, October 6, 2015 /CNW/ – NeoPollard Interactive LLC (“NeoPollard Interactive”), a strategic joint venture between Pollard Banknote and NeoGames, congratulates Danny Bogus, the Michigan Lottery’s Deputy Commissioner of Gaming Operations, on receiving a Powers Award from the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (“NASPL”). Bogus was named as a Powers Award winner at NASPL’s Professional Development Seminar earlier this year and received the prestigious award at Pollard Banknote’s recent ribbon-cutting event for its new state-of-the-art Tresu inline press in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
The NASPL Powers Awards are presented each year in recognition of the significant contributions lottery and vendor employees have made through exceptional job performance. The awards are named in honor of the late Edward J. Powers—the “Father of U.S. Lotteries.” Edward Powers was one of the founders of NASPL, and spent more than 25 years in the lottery industry helping to define the most effective organizational structures that have become a blueprint for today’s lotteries.
Bogus has been with the Michigan Lottery since May 2009. Most recently, he led the launch and currently manages the ongoing operations of the Michigan Lottery’s tremendously successful online games program, which has generated about $120 million in sales in its first year of operation. Prior to that, Bogus directed the development of many major digital initiatives, including a fully integrated loyalty program, several successful mobile apps, Keno To Go, and other ‘Space Between’ products that currently drive more than $120 million in sales per year. Under his guidance, the Michigan Lottery has built a strong digital team, which has grown to 19 staff members over the past five years.
“Danny’s vision and hard work has been instrumental in developing the Michigan Lottery’s digital approach,” said Doug Pollard, Co-Chief Executive Officer, NeoPollard Interactive. “Both NeoPollard Interactive and Pollard Banknote have had the pleasure of working with Danny on a number of digital initiatives. Notably, the Michigan Lottery has launched several of Pollard Banknote’s ‘Space Between’ products in recent years—such as our WebPlay™ games, Instants Plus™, Social Instants™, and more—to bridge and support both online and retail sales channels. We congratulate him on this much-deserved award, and look forward to continue working with Danny and the Michigan Lottery’s digital team for years to come.”
“NeoPollard Interactive is happy to congratulate Danny Bogus on winning a NASPL Powers Award,” added Ilan Rosen, Co-Chief Executive Officer, NeoPollard Interactive. “We have had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Danny and his team to launch and operate the Michigan Lottery’s online games program, which has proven to be the most successful in North America to date. His leadership has been key to growing the Lottery’s portfolio of interactive games overall and ensures that its digital products are entertaining and resonate with lottery players in Michigan.”
